Can anyone explain to me, or point me to a good resource, what is happening at layer 2 and what are the switches doing with it in an IPv6 Neighbor Solicitation. I understand that it is a multicast at layer 3 and I assume it is somehow multi-cast at layer 2, but I dont really understand the mechanisms of it at layer 2
